BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Three machine guns were found along Interstate 65 Friday afternoon after they fell off a military truck.
According to Indiana State Police and authorities in Boone County, multiple agencies searched ditches along southbound I-65 in Boone County.
An Army National Guard unit from Gary was in route to Camp Atterbury when the guns fell off the back of the truck and onto I-65 near State Road 267.
One motorist reportedly ran over one of the guns. 24-Hour News 8's news partners at The Lebanon Reporter say, the driver stopped at a Love's truck stop and realized he had one of the guns lodged under his vehicle.
