It could also affect society's future ability to function in harmony with the natural environment on which it ultimately depends. President of The Wildlife Trusts, Simon King OBE called for education secretary Michael Gove to increase environmental education in schools. 'A younger generation equipped to understand and tackle the massive environmental problems we have left them is our only hope for the future' he said.
