BEIJING (AP) ? China's inflation rose to 2.7 percent in June, driven by higher food costs.
The government said Tuesday consumer inflation accelerated from May's 2.1 percent. That was slightly above private sector forecasts but below the government's 3.5 percent target for the year.
Food prices rose 4.9 percent.
Pressure for prices to rise is relatively low in China due to weak demand and lower costs for raw materials and industrial components.
