The Writer/Producer is responsible for developing and executing highly creative and innovative on-air promo and image campaigns. The incumbent will: work closely with Director of On-Air, Editorial Director & Art director to develop creative concepts, ideas, scripts and visual treatments for assignments; work with Production/Project Management to develop and manage budgets; work with Operations to book sessions; fulfill multiple delivery schedules; and work closely with multiple departments to incorporate their needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop concepts, ideas, scripts, pitches, visual treatments and outlines for solid execution of spots.
Help to build and be a part of a trusting team environment in which people are inspired to take risks and achieve creative excellence on budget.
Develop breakthrough creative that could migrate across a variety of platforms and media.
Pitch concepts/scripts to supervisors and team leaders.
Convey the attitude, editorial tone and value of the Nickelodeon Preschool brand in all pitches and scripts.
Brainstorm and discuss creative execution with Brand Creative Team, including Editorial Director, Director of Production, VP, Producers and Art Director.
Push the creative bounds of traditional promotion and establish creative standards that result in building our brand and solidifying our relationship with the viewers.
Coordinate with multiple departments to execute all promotional aspects for spots (internal promotional goals, tune-ins, sponsorships, interstitials, web throws, etc.).
Work closely with outside vendors (graphics designers, animators, music composers, etc.) when necessary.
Supervise audio and video editing sessions.
Cast & Direct VO talent
Seek out external production sources as appropriate
Mentor PAs and/ or APs
Insure that assigned projects achieve assigned goals, meet creative expectation and are delivered within the assigned budget
Organize and maintain paperwork, rundowns, log sheets, music cue sheets, etc.

Required Qualification/Skills:
Minimum 3 years experience in writing/producing on-air promotions/ advertising campaigns and presentations for a television network or advertising industry
Must possess strong conceptual, writing and visual skills.
Must have a working knowledge of television pre-production, production and post-production involving the use of studio facilities, graphic design and animation, editing, audio production and shooting techniques.
Must be fluent in all aspects of post-production, including: creative concept development; scripting; overseeing development of graphic design and/or animation elements; supervising all creative aspects of audio and video post-production.
Ability to relate to a preschooler?s mindset & developmental level and to write/produce parent-directed communications.
Awareness of the current children?s media landscape.
Ability to receive creative direction and feedback.
Strong understanding of the Nickelodeon brand, popular culture, kids entertainment and how it all interrelates.
Ability to juggle numerous projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong business ethics.
