Campus Rec Offers Instructional Fitness Programs Starting Oct. 3 ...

Fall into fitness with an eight-week instructional fitness program. Receive expert training from a dynamic instructor as you progress through an instructional fitness session with the same group of participants. You?ll get a great workout while also having fun.

Yoga Therapy,?6:15?7:15 a.m. every Monday and Friday

Each session will focus on yoga therapies for particular parts of the body. Sessions include therapies for the shoulder girdle, arms, chest, hip flexors, quads, hamstrings, spine, abs, psoas and more.

Bootcamp, 6:30?7:10 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday

Drop and give me 20! This intense drill-based class is sure to make you sweat and get your heart pumping. Participants can work at their own levels, so whether you are a seasoned athlete or just getting into fitness, you?re sure to be challenged. If you are looking for a way to reach a new level, learn functional exercises, get motivated, or push yourself harder, this class is for you.

TRX Bootcamp, 12:10?12:50 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday

Make your body your machine. This high-intensity class will use multiple exercises in a fast-paced circuit to keep your heart rate up and give you a great cardio strength workout. Participants can work at their own levels, so whether you are a seasoned athlete or just getting into fitness, you?re sure to be challenged. If you are looking for a way to reach a new level, learn functional exercises, get motivated, or push yourself harder, this class is for you.

Pilates, 5:30?6:30 p.m. every Tuesday

Learn the basic principles of Pilates. Students will move their bodies through a series of postures using the Pilates techniques of centering, control, fluidity, precision, breath and concentration.

Ballroom Dance, 4?5 p.m. every Wednesday

Looking to wow your friends, family or loved one at your next social event? Come learn the basics of classical ballroom dancing in the newest Campus Recreation instructional class. Have a great time learning specific dance moves and techniques. Register with a friend or meet a new one in class.

Downhill Ski Conditioning, 5:30?6:30 p.m. every Wednesday

This course is designed to prepare you now to participate safely and efficiently in your favorite winter sports pursuits. Each day will focus on exercises aimed at injury prevention through increased strength and flexibility, enhanced joint stabilization and improved neuromuscular control.

Core-Hoop Fusion, 5:30?6:30 p.m. every Thursday

Core-Hoop Fusion burns 100 calories every 10 minutes and tones the core, incorporating various dance styles, martial arts, strength training and yoga. Upbeat music and adult-sized hula-hoops ensure a fun, energetic and playful workout, even for novice ?hoopers.? Prepare to laugh and sweat like a dancing ninja.
